We will be looking at time next week. Maybe if you keep this up you will be the the 'Time Prince' as well.

Miss Speers's Maths group homework help
My favourite! I love multiplication grids! Here's a reminder on what to do...
Use a multiplication grid to calculate T U x U.
Or T U x T U.
Or even H T U x U.
Or for a real challenge TH H T U x U!
Everyone did brilliantly today in class. Can you do just as well for homework? We'll mark your work in the lesson on Monday. Good luck!

What is 2/3 of 12
REMEMBER
STEP 1 find 1/3 of 12 = 4
STEP 2 Look at the numerator in your question and multiply it by your answer to step 1
Numerator is 2 x 4 (the answer to step 1) = 8
2/3 of 12 = 8
See if you can answer these questions

2. 3/10 of 20
3. 6/10 of 50
Can you be the 'fraction king or queen' of Year 4?

Happy Half Term!
Make sure you keep reading every day during the holiday, visit our blog to play games and keep your skills sharp. Leave your comments please. We'll be looking out for them.
Remember that Tuesday 16th February is Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day!) so enjoy your pancakes before we all give up an unhealthy treat during Lent. Miss Speers is going to try and give up chocolate. What will you give up?
Wednesday in half-term is Ash Wednesday so try your hardest to go to Mass. When you're there, you will receive the ashes on your forehead - the start of our journey through Lent. We do this to remember Jesus's 40 days in the desert being tempted by the devil.
Remember to follow your Lenten calendar from Tuesday. Will you be able to tell us what the calendar says on the first day back at school?
Be good!
